All Things Bright and Beautiful

Do you remember a wee while ago I had mentioned it was Gran’s birthday?

…….. and I was going to make her a week bag for her frame

As I said I had made a couple of these for her before so when making this one it felt like a breeze, hence I decided to challenge myself with a little hand embroidery which I have done very little off before and the little I have done I was taught my my crafty mum in law.  Was fairly pleased with the result of this and the secong change I made to the design of the bag was adding lace trimmings to the hem of the pocket and opening which really looked the part.  Here is a few snaps of the finished product.

Gran was so pleased with her new bag and as soon as she opend it, the old one came off her frame and her new one went straight on.

My mum in law gave me a lovely phone call after to say how chuffed she is with it.  When she wakes up each day and reads All things bright and beautiful she relives it every time and brings back pleasant memories for her.

Definately worth taking the time to make this for a very special wee lady.
